La Babosa Cine S.A. (formerly MIRA) is an independent production company based in Asunción, Paraguay. We also offer production services (films only). Our aim is to work in local and international films with a high artistic quality.

Our first in-house feature film 'THE HEIRESSES' is a six-country coproduction and was premiered at the 2018 Berlinale, where it won two Silver Bears and the Fipresci Award. ‘LOS ULTIMOS’ (documentary) premiered at IDFA in 2023. We’re currently finishing NARCISO, a seven-countries coproduction that will be released soon.
